Lunenburg Folk Artist

Cyril Hirtle lived all has life in Kingsburg, Lunenburg Nova Scotia at what is now known as Gladee's. He started painting in his 70's and became well knownfor his creative style and imagination. I thought it would be fun to show some of the history of Gladee's beach house and the people that used to live there.

Cyril, proudly displaying all his paintings, that he produced that year.

What Gladee's cottage looked like 100 years ago when Cyril and my great-grand father lived there.

Cyril loved trying to get a smile or a laugh out of you. His sense of humour shows in his paintings.

Cyril liked painting fishing scenes.
