Exciting Nova Scotia Whale Watching Tour

See whales, dolphins, seals, atlantic puffins and other wildlife.

Capt Walter Jr. invites you to join him for a exciting, three hour whale watching tour! The "Eastern Points", a 45 foot boat leaves four times a day from Lunenburg's waterfront. {Only 20 minute drive from Gladee's} The fiberglass hulled vessel is equipped with today's most modern navigational aids and safety equipment. A canopy protects passengers from the sun, rain and seaspray.

Rugged coastline of the Ovens park , where gold was once mined.

The fin, pilot, minke and humpback whales do, at times, come close enough to touch. They are joined by dolphins, ocean sun fish, giant blue fin tuna and leatherback turtles. As well, bird watchers alert for puffin, razorbills, terns, black guillemot, petrels, shearwaters or gannets. A large population of seals enjoys sunbathing on a reef.

A Humpback Whale

A wow moment!

Very common here, dolphins like to swim with the boat.

There are a colony of over 100 puffins on Pearl island off Lunenburg.

When the seas are too rough for whale watching, Capt Flower leads an informative tour of historic Lunenburg Habour and Ovens Natural Park. The rugged coastline offers spectacular photo opportunities. Brightly colored buildings hug the shoreline of Old Town Lunenburg, World Heritage Site.
